I'm planning on replacing the hard line for the modulator just because the current one is messy and unsightly. While at the parts store the guy told me to go with as small a line as i could in order to increase the pressure and slow down the modulator a little. I have noticed my truck shifts early but figured thats just how it is. I have installed the govenor shift point kit and it is at the latest possible shift currently. I also have the adjustable modulator and really see no difference one way or the other. Is this caused by having too big of a vacumn line running to the modulator? Is the size of the line actually a way of fine tuning the shift points of a 350? Any other thoughts about vacumn line sizing and applications like brakes, pvc or heater controls?
