Don't deal with B-quiet
« on: September 02, 2009, 02:23:55 pm »
First off let me say that this is not about their product. I haven't had a chance to test it yet (part of the problem) so I would not know about that aspect. This is about how big of a pain they are to deal with. They are in Canada, first off. So expect a long wait for your shipping. Mine took 5 business days, making it take well over a week after you factor in that UPS doesn't run on the weekends. I bought the item on ebay, and they said I could just pay via their website. So I go to the website, and all that is there (in the way of paying) is to just order a new one. So I order a new one from them, which is $11 more than ebay. Could not get them to answer the phone, at this point I am of the belief that they just don't do it. For whatever reason, I can only assume laziness or incompetence. So I am forced to pay more on their website, cause due to school and work I have to get this project knocked out as soon as I can. So I send them an email saying I expect to be reimbursed the difference, since it was their idea that I go to the website and pay. I get an email saying they can not do this. Although, a few days later they decide for some reason to just pay me the $11 I guess cause I got an email from paypal saying that someone sent me $11.

But then, I check my bank statement and they have billed me for $4.95. lol. What is that about? It's not shipping, the ebay ad was listed for free shipping. And they already reimbursed the $11 and honored the price, so why go back on what they said about the shipping at this point? Not to mention that in the quantity that I ordered, shipping would be a lot higher than 5 bucks. Sigh... So I try several times throughout the day to call them and talk to someone, and of course even though the message says that I am in fact calling during normal business hours, they WILL NOT answer the phone. So in other words, don't deal with B-Quiet. Im sure there are plenty of other companies out there selling the same thing, for a heck of a lot less hassle.

First expecting free shipping to be sooner than 5-7 business days is a dream.  Second, once the product leaves the seller, they are no longer in control, that means they cannot make any delivery company deliver on the weekend.  Your expectations is way out there.

As for paying for it, have you made purchases on Ebay?  It should give you the ability to pay via Ebays site and NOT through their website, in fact Ebay expects you to complete the transaction through their site.

Third if you had their email address why did you send the funds to that email?

Instead of ranting here about it why don't you just send them another email saying you would like a rep to call you at X number and tell them that you were charged for something that you don't think is correct.

I know of several people that have dealt with them personally and all of the exchanges have been positive.

5-7 business days for shipping is not a long wait.  Try waiting for a rebate!  or did you order sea-monkeys or x-ray glasses as a kid? 6-8 weeks.

Sounds like you went around Robin Hoods' barn dealing with these folks, and not all their doing.  The only time I send money via PP to a persons e-mail is if it's a private transaction.  Chris had some good pointers. Follow up with an e-mail (if you can't get a person on the phone) and be courteous.  Looks to me like a simple mis-understanding that is snowballing.

My ebay rating is over 2200, 100% positive. Never had one single negative or even neutral. So I know a thing or two about ebay. And I am quite used to things, from the U.S., coming in 3 buisness days via UPS. Not to mention that was just a suggestion, not a complaint. As in, I offer up the suggestion that you deal with a U.S based company that can get it to you in the 3 business days that I am accustomed to. Might help you avoid longer setbacks. As for the email phone thing, I thought I made it clear that I tried to make that work. They don't even have a phone, is the way they act. So i guess if you like problems, long waits, and the runaround, go with them. Like I said, I have had no problem with their product yet. It just seems to me like they don't take their work seriously. And as im sure you all know, when you get that kind of thing going on, it shows.

I ordered a fiberglass tucked bumper for the el camino I'm restoring from OPGI a week ago. I paid $30 bucks shipping and won't see it til maybe sept 11th. Expect slow shipping these days unless you pay out your nose for overnight.

I know the guy who owns B-quiet and he's a pretty stand-up guy, as far as I know.

I ordered my "Brown Bread" from a B-quiet dealer off of eBay. It was the best price on eBay at the time, and it got shipped right away. I guess it's just a matter of who you deal with.

I am glad someone brought that up, I have to put something over the avatar in order to read any of his postings.  I am sorry to say I actually prefer his previous bug eyed avatar... There I said it....

Also skunk, you have to consider that the items coming from Canada need to clear customs. That in itself usually takes a day or 2. Trust me I am from Canada, and when I order from the states it usually takes 8-10 days with UPS.
