simplest bolt in lowering option

It's time to bite the bullet and drop this thing. I have an 87 shortbed and I'd like some suggestions on what is the best way to drop the truck without doing a bunch of fabrication. Re- arc the rear springs (they are 23 years old) or buy new? Drop shackles? Drop spindles? Change out the front springs or cut the coils? The options are countless. I'm thinking a mild drop...keeping 15' wheels (like the old school ralleys and spinners look, plus I have a set in the garage), tire size has not yet been determined. I'd also prefer not to cut the frame unless I absolutely have to. This truck is a semi daily driver, and I don't necessarily want to slam it...I just want the factory lift kit out! (That's just a joke about stock height) All suggestions are welcome!

If either of the rear springs are fatigued just replace them and forget about re-arching the springs.

Lowering spindles in the front and shackles in the back will get you down about 2"

If you want more go with a lowering coil and do an axle flip but keep the stock shackles.

I did a 2/4 drop for my truck for cheap a few years ago the ride was decent for the front a coil cut off the factory springs equals about 2" and the rear 2" drop shackles and removed a few leafs

I used 2" shorter springs in the front and 2" shackles in the rear and also removed some leafs. pretty cheap to do. Here it is; I removed one more leaf since the pick for almost 1 more inch of drop and it rides great.

did u  use lowering shocks with the coil springs or did u just use the factory shocks
