getting ready to redo ac need help..

I need to convert my a/c to r134. as of rite now i know i need to get all the r134 out my system before anything. but after that i am gonna change my accumulator, evaporator, and orifice tube and i heard compressor too. also is do i need to just go ahead and change out the a/c hoses and condenser? thanks.

I'll have to ask the guy who did mine, but I noticed that the old R12 compressor is still in use. The hoses
are marked R134a, and that's what the whole system is running. Seems to be working fine, beyond the belt
issues I've described in another thread.
I'm guessing the oil is the biggest issue, and that some of your softer parts may not hold up as well under
the 134, like o-rings and belts. I'm no expert, that's just the idea I'm getting.
If you mix the oil, IIRC, it turns to Play-Doh and is very hard to turn.  ;)

You need to Evap the system, flush it, pull it apart replace the o-rings, put it back together and have it refilled.  This eliminates all possible issues in the future.  They should be able to draw vacuum on it prior to find any leaks so you will know if you have bad hoses/lines.
