Why smog it when your getting it smog exempt? A 79 rates historic plates? Do you plan on driving it much?

lol in DMV's infinate wisdom they require me to fully register a vehicle...aka smog check...before i can get my smog exempt status from the historical plates.  This will only be a weekend cruiser anyhow so the historical plates will be perfect for me and i never have to smog again.  plus its only 2 dollars a year

een away for a while but now I am back putting tbis truck together to hopefully drive it at some point.  Anyways.  Swapping in an a/c box from an 88-94 truck and swiped the dash also.  I wantedthe newer look and the electric ac controls.  Gotta square away the spaghetti then I can get the box in and dash mounted.  The dash should be easy since it looks simple to mount.  More on that later.  Anyways I have a plethora of parts in various ups trucks and what not so the next few weeks should be fun.  Plans are to complete this truck and make it streetable for some spirited driving.

Picked up a 88-94 ac box today.  Time to start getting the dash in and wired up.  Also scored a posi 10 bolt from a caprice.  Aending that out to get rebuild and get trussed up.  Now i can get some rallies on this thing!!

Got my new spindles and rotors assembled today.  Also started to shave the passenger side firewall so i have a solid base for my new ac box to mount.  Hope it works!

Got some ford windstar fans and mounted them to my 95-99 truck radiator.  They fit like a glove and look almost factory.

Took some cheap ebay conversion headlights and retrofitted some hid projectors in.   Looks pretty slick.  Need to wire it up still.

Got the firewall welded up.  Drilled some holes and started to mount the ac box.  Its almost in.  Something is hitting ajd keeping it from sitting flush.  I will have to check it out another day.

mounted ac box and dryer.  Got lines from the jy.  This is all that will be on the firewall for ac.
Also got the crossmember in and the passenger side put together.  Bolted the wheel on amd when i tried to turn rim its stuck.  So i need to take it off and grind the spindle and caliper down some.

Side note. If you want modern lights, ones from Jeep Wranglers will work also.

Three piece engine cover installed.

Got all the steering in and bolted up.  Still need to trim the lower control arms a little as they rub slightly.  got all new brakes hoses in.  That was fun!  Now on to the radiator efan install and wiring.
