Shorty spark plugs....
« on: October 25, 2009, 02:57:35 pm »
Quick question hopefully.... Are shorty spark plugs worth having?? How much shorter are they? I can't find any dimensions on the Accel website.

I'm having some header clearance issues, my plug lead boots are fouling them.....

I used to use them back in high school with my cheapy headers...Another option is custom wires.

I've got cheapy headers..!  :D

I've used Mallory cut to length wires, with 90 degree boots, but they just touch on some of the header tubes... are the shorty plugs much shorter?? I'm using NGK spark plugs at the moment.

You can get multi-angle plug wires that you can make fit any angle

I've run them on a few small blocks with headers. Off the top of my head I would say you gain about 1/2" with them. I can measure mine later in the week if you want.
