Pismo trip
« on: October 27, 2009, 12:40:53 am »
Took a nice little trip to Pismo this weekend. I haven't been there since 2003 or so due to a military obligation. Left friday, got about halfway there and a u joint decided to go out on the freeway. Pulled over, dropped the driveline, threw it in 4WD and got off at the next exit. Stayed over night at a hotel there, replaced the U joint in the hotel room and made it to Pismo and back without further incident.

Just got out in September. Thats funny, you can tell what the sticker is even though it isn't clear at all. Semper Fi

What does everyone think about the taillights? I have never seen that setup anywhere else. It's always the stockers or the Cadi lights. Dont be fooled by my reverse lights, those suckers are super bright. I have them on a toggle for those pesky tailgaters.

It'd look better with a passenger mirror. The lights don't look bad but I think the stock ones would look better.

Any nickname will do!

Yes the taillights are LED. I had a friend who worked at a truck and trailer parts store and got them at cost. Same for the reverse lights.

I do need to get a mirror on the passenger side. I like the clean look without it, but driving down this weekend without being able to see anything on that side due to the quad being in the bed, it was kinda scary when I was changing into the right lane.

Devil Dog, Teuful Hunden, Leatherneck, Marine - any and all are appropriate - since I got out - I answer to Daddy, hey you, dear, Honey, Dad and others unsuitable for publication -
and again...I dig that truck...and the baby blue is tight!

Yea , ment to say the taillights look WAY better than stock ones.  The stock ones look like something gm added after the fact, like they built the truck and was like " @&#* we forgot tail lights. well we will just screw these to the side of the bed."
