Starting a rebuild of my 86 swb Already shaved the gutters and welded up about 40 holes fron the trim, bedrails and toolbox. (I'll post some pics when I get back in town) I was wanting to smooth the rear. I like the looks of the Grant roll pan, does anyone have any experience installing one? How good does everything line up? Also, a tailgate skin, is there a reason I cant just cut a sheet to fit in the rectangular area of the tailgate instead of a skin that goes all the way over the top? Just don't like the idea of two layers of tailgate skin. Also, I want to get rid of the current door handles. Anyone ever tried to install "flush" handles, such as the ones from a 88-98 Chevy?
Thanks,
Brian

You are looking at some serious mods for the 88-98 handles and you would have to mount them low on the door to match the curve.  Plus they are notoriously easy to break into the handles.

I agree, don't waste your time with the cheesy handles. Keep your slammer rigid or shave them and use poppers. If you want  good tailgate skin I can vouch for the Mar-K ones. Their tailgate handle relocator kit is awesome. Their skin and pan was top notch quality. Never used grant so couldn't tell you either way. I would use the half skin and panel bond it. Don't weld it.

Does the half skin just go to the bodyline?

I have used products from both Grant and Mar-K in the past. They both are good quality products but I prefer the Mar-K stuff, like Vile said their products are top notch and I don't think you will find any better in my opinion.
