92 Chevy computer diagram
« on: November 13, 2009, 02:25:50 pm »
I bought a TBI set up from Ebay to put in my daughters 85 and the guy cut the harness out of the pick up he took it from and failed to mention that.  >:( Anyone have or know where I can get the diagram for the connectors for this computer so I can try to do something with this harness. The computer service # is 16168625 BHAS and the sticker below it has 16194325.Im trying to get a harness locally but not having much luck.I really dont want to use this harness but money is a little tight right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.I figured if I have to use this harness I would splice the wires back together and make a good harness. It dosent seem as simple as color to color and I want to be sure Im doin it right.I came out of a 1992 K1500 4x4. I dont have a VIN# for the pick up it came from. Thanks

Actually I just got this harness at a salvage yard yesterday. The harness goes from the computer to the relay box.I want to remove all the stuff Im not gonna need as there seems to be alot I wont need.I didnt cut any of the wires going to the computer but I did remove the relay box from the harness. I wanted a Diagram to help sort out some of the other wiring.

I got a few diagrams from the library today and have a few questions base on the harnes I have and the diagrams I found.I couldnt find an exact match so Im trying to eliminate some stuff base on colorcodes and the pinout info I have.
1. If the knock sensor goes directly to the PCM,does this mean I will not have a ESC module?
2.What transmission stuff do I need to keep? I have a 350c I will be using.
3. Which speed sensor wire do I use and where does it go? VSS input or VSS Buffer signal  ???
4. So far I have sorted out the TPS,IAC,Injectors,Coolant temp,O2,MAP,Oil press switch and Knock sensors,Fuel pump relay and ignition.Did I miss anything?I have sorted out a few wires Im not sure I will be needing like the A/C signal and brake signal wires.
Thanks

Being a FTP confuses the forum.  You just have to click on them.  (plus you put http://ftp://ftp which won't work)
