Brake line help
« on: November 13, 2009, 09:46:38 pm »
I need to replace my two steel brake lines that run along the rear axle. I can only find pre bent lines for 2wd, not 4wd which I need. I looked online at various sites as well as 3 popular parts stores and only find full kits or unbent lines. Unbent lines would be fine. I took my  rear hose (rubber line that goes from frame to the "T") to match up the thread size and pitch and havent had any luck. The hose is brand new and vehicle specific. I dont want to take off the lines on my truck and take them into the store yet. Any suggestions?

As far as I knew brake line flare nuts were all the same thread. The line size should be 1/4".
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

3/16" brake line is all you need.
