Jeep enthusiast who has seen the light...
« on: November 15, 2009, 11:41:36 pm »
Well, as the title indicates my main interest has been in the Jeep brand name. Not the Chrysler-era stuff, but earlier AMC, Kaiser, and Willys jeeps. In actuality my new Chevy was going to be a drivetrain donor for my 75 Cherokee (now an abandoned project). I realized that the 78 k30 crew cab dually was in better shape and would take less work to get going with the 6.2 diesel I have sitting in my shop. My plans now include a set of military hummer rims and 37s, the 6.2 diesel, a modified m105 (military trailer) bed, and some miscellaneous CUCV parts (I wonder how I'll paint it ;) ).

Anyhow, hello from the high desert of Southern California!
78 K30 3+3 - currently 454 (soon 6.2), sm465, np205, 6" lift, soon HMMWV 37" Wranglers.

66 Jeep CJ6A - 225 V6, 3" BDS lift, 31" BFG ATs, OBA, OBW, dual underseat tanks.

67 VW 'glass buggy - Lido body, 1835cc, dual webber ICTs, hydraulic clutch

Welcome from Illinois! Yep, my 77 was my $300 turd that I fell in love with and now shes my $8000 invested still kinda a turd ::)
77 c-10 - 77 400 86 700r4 "Emmy"
83 citation - 2.5L Four on the Floor!
88 sierra - reman 350 700r4 "Eleanor"
All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.

I am new here as well but I also am a lover of the Jeep name brand, especially the FSJs like your 75 Cherokee. I have owned many of them as well as many 73-87 Chevys. Here are a couple pics for a fellow Jeep/Chevy lover.
