The car being a VW has nothing to do with it, but the stupidity of the owner/driver.

That thread had come up here once before. funny! Their are plenty of other legitimate reasons not to buy a vw, this isn't one of them.

That's down to some moron overtightening the wheel bolts in a tyre place. I had to use a 6 foot extension bar to undo the bolts on my Blazer. My 18 volt Snap On impact gun didn't even have a chance!!

Don't buy THAT guy's VW...
I've had tire shops do that to my cars 3 different times, using an impact on the wheel lock... 1 of the times they got the wheel lock out no problem. 2 of the times they ruined it so bad tightening it up and during trying to remove it they had to cut the wheel off. It was cool though because I got a new wheel on one and on another my wheel wasnt available anymore so i got another set of 4.

My 19 year old son had the same problem with the stupid racing rims he put on his 240sx, then he lost the key. So he got a flat and couldn't figure out how to get them off. I let him sweat for a week while he went everywhere looking for a key. After a week, I welded on a solid bar to each lock on every wheel, with a bar at the ends and carefully twisted them off. The problem is the wheel nuts fit into the rim so close you couldn't get a socket or anything in there. Needless to say he won't loose the new key he bought for the new locks.

Was going to read it but after reading the 1st page and saw it went on for 142 I gave up. But I remember when AutoZone sold some kind of fuel cleaner or hp adder I forget what it was but after doing some test smelling it then trying to burn it wouldn't burn that well we came up with the ideal it might just be a shot of diesel or something like that
