REAR WINDOW ROLL UP KIT

SAW SOMETHING I NEVER SAW BEFORE IN THE JUNKYARD A EARLY 80 SINGLE CAB WITH THE REAR WINDOW THAT HAS THE POWER WINDOW STEUP ( TO ROLL UP/ DOWN )  WAS THAT SOMETHING RARE AND WHAT YEARS HAD THESE IN IT??

ONLY BAD THING IS SOME ONE BENT UP ONE OF THE SIDES OF THE RAILS. THE TRUCK SAID CONVERSION ON THE SIDE, AND THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER SAW THAT WS THAT SOMETHING SPECIAL ???

I hope you have Courtney Love's approval for your avatar or you may be looking at a lawsuit in the future. :D

Man, I never knew that was a factory option!  I had that idea a long time ago and thought it would be pretty unique.  I was planning on someday, when I've got my truck torn apart, adapting a power rear window mechanisim from a Blazer or Sub.  But it would be a major undertaking (at least for me) to get it to fit right and seal.

We had this discussion a while back and someone said it was common in Mexican trucks. I want to see pix please and you should grab it. Maybe we can re-invent it.

THIS TRUCK DIDNT HAVE ANY DIGLE BERRIES HANGING :D   IM GOING TO GET IT TOMORROW ALONG WITH THE VIN AND SEAL

It wasn't an option.  It was an aftermarket part.  Did it have 2 stationary side windows panels and the center wend down?  C R Lawrance made them a long time ago.

NO, IT HAD THE WHOLE REAR WINDOW ON A TRACK AND A CUSTOM REAR SEAL. WENT BACK AND IT WAS DESTROYED NOTHING TO SALVAGE, BUT I DID GET A HARNESS FOR MY ELECTRIC MIRRORS :)

I buddy of mine that bought his 87 brand new said you could get the power rear window kit from the sears catalog back in the day.

BEASTIE, i went to pick-n-pull on mowry, it was the white truck last row last truck next to the fence. Most likely gone by now
