Those metal clips get pressed into the holes in back of the backing plates that you use to andjust the starwheel adjuster.

I dont have holes for my starwheel adjusters on the backing plate. The holes are on the drums. Ill see if they fit on them.
I can get some pics when the snow clears, Just noticed one of my parts trucks has this set up on it. I know it didn't hook to the t-case mount from the factory.
As far as your brake cable "hooks". I've got one on the passenger side (no. 9 in the illustration) Mounting end, I have hooked into a hole in the transfer case mount on the frame rail.The pic doesn't show it real well, but the rust colored rod is for my e-brake.
