Bed lifting

I need to shim up the passenger side of my bed. I suprisingly got all 4 nuts off last night with little trouble but now the question is what is a good way to lift it up so I can get some spacers under there? My floor jack only goes so high. I don't have a whole lot of help around me to just lift it up temporarily. So if you had to do it alone, how would you do it? It only needs to be up at most an inch.

a piece of wood on the floorjack plate should do since ur not lifting too much weight.

Put a cherry picker (engine hoist) on the side (with a rag to prevent marring) that needs to be lifted

Just stick a prybar in between the frame and the bed then slide in your shims.

^ Good idea. If it doesn't look like my floor jack will work, the pry bar idea sounds best. I might as well even try that first since it's the simplest. Thanks guys.

I got this completed over the weekend. After loosening all the bed bolts (only one turned in it's hole, the big long one on the driver side) I tried the pry bar but could only get it lifted a little bit and I'd have to keep that pressure on the bar while trying to slip the washers in. So I figured my floor jack would work better, which it did once I figured out how to get the truck low enough for the floor jack to be able to lift the bed up. An important step was to support the truck on jackstands by the frame and take the rear suspension out of the equation. If you don't, you waste floor jack lifting travel on spring extension once the weight of the bed is taken off the springs. Anyway, I slotted some washers to fit around the bolts and got them in there. Worked well but I still might need to add one washer to each of the rear 2 passenger side bolts to make it totally straight.

Be sure if you have all the bolts loose at once, to make sure the bed is lined up right before you tighten it down again.
