This is hideous.  I can't see how this turd made it out of R&D.  If this is what americans want that domestic manufacturers are accused of not making, I'm siding with GM & Chrysler....   Like some kinda Japanamation joker car...

It's especially atrocious when you see that the previous generation of Mazda 3 was not a bad looker at all, as far as small cars go.  In fact, I'd say the Mazda 3 WAS the most attractive car in it's class.

flashbacks of the Ford Edsel....not that i was alive back then.  When this thing came out it was a disaster and nearly brought the company to its knees.  The center grille reminded people of a horse collar, or, even a part of female anatomy....but, a restored one now brings six figures since they didnt make too many.

I think Mazda went much too far with the 'personality' they were trying to achieve with the new 3 series. It's cartoonish and they obviously tried to get some kind of edgy, intimidation factor. Post a pic of the tail and it's jsut the same. "Mean" looking tailights    Event is right, the last ones were the classiest.
