Custom Deluxe Body Molding

well its definately molding off of a newer model.  on that blue truck the original molding is those chrome strips that go along the top and bottom of the body.  that molding does look good though if your not worried about original

I appreciate your response. If you'll research more, you'll find that this type of molding was in fact one of the options available in '73 or '75 through 1980. I believe it was available on Scottsdale and Custom Deluxe models, maybe others.

I'm wondering if anyone sells a reproduction.

When I used to work at a truck accessory store, we used to have a supplier that sold universal molding. It was offered in many shapes, sizes and colors. Since that was over 5 years ago, I have forgotten the manufacturer but Im sure you can google and find something.

oh sorry ive never seen a truck 73-80 with that trim being original.  and in parts catalogs they only seem to offer one style to buy for those years so i just assumed.  well its whats cool about this site, you learn something new everyday

That is the same trim my '80 came with it is listed on the option sheet and was definatley originial. my truck was 100% originial and i bought it from the guy who bought in dec of 1979 who never touched a thing on the truck.

yes i did thank you captkaos but cheyenne pickups did not have it online nor over the phone.
