Leaky Master cylinder
« on: February 22, 2010, 11:12:32 am »
I have an 87 chevy v-10 4x4 350.  I have been working with an ongoing issue with the master cylinder.  It seems that no matter what I do, (replaced 3 times by 2 different shops and 2 times by me) I cant seem to get the master cylinder to stop leaking. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I assume the front of the booster is wet every time?  Any way possible that the wrong length rod has gotten in there?

Leaks are at the front of the master cylinder by the booster and yes my booster gets its share of brake fuild.  If I ever get this leak figured out, i will replace the booster which is rusted prety good now.

return it and get a booster with master. Bench bleed it before you install it.
