Radiator question
« on: February 27, 2010, 12:46:27 am »
If my memory serves me correctly, the radiator in my truck is 35 inches wide. How will going to a 28 inch wide radiator affect my cooling? Im building a 355 right now and planning on going to a 16 inch electric fan and need a new radiator beacuse the inside of mine is rusted.....BAD.

single core radiator for a truck??  ???

wow, I wouldn't do that.  My trucks have 4 - cores each.

Do you have A/C?

I'd have at least a 3-core for a truck.

Maintenanceman, yes that radiator comes with the fans and a install kit to attach them to the radiator. Its cheaper without the fans. The quality seems good so far. I just need to get my butt in gear and install it all.

Beastie, let me know what you think after it's installed.  That seems like a deal too good to be true.  Is it Made in USA?

OK guys, Ill let you know when everything is done. Ill try to get some good pics also.

Keep in mind it might be a bit til I get to it, I have tons of school work this week and next week and the weather cant make up its mind. At the very least, Ill take some pics soon of the radiator and fans by themselves. It has moisture in the inside, so it was pressure tested. The company I bought it from says his supplier is in southern California, which is where they were shipped from. Ill see if there is any reference to USA built or not.

35"x28"?????? ???

the most common is 31x19..  28" tall would put you through the hood on most trucks....

He said the new one he was looking at was 28 wide vs the 35 he has now. He was wondering if it would be too small.
