Hi! newbie to the forum and newbie to cars!
I have a 81 1/2 ton with a 350 and th 350. I have a carter afb 9637 and want to switch to an edelbrock 1406. The carter has an extra port closer to the electric choke (ie not the fuel line). The edelbrock carb does not. This line is connected to the evap canister. I would think it should have been connected to the egr valve which is already long gone!
As you can tell with my dilemma, what do i do now? Is that connection correct? Do I have the correct carburetor? Can I plug that line that went into the carter carb? Can I plug the rest of the lines and keep the fuel tank vented?
I also would like to know what the canister SHOULD be connected to... I believe there are 4 ports on the canister. I have read to rip it out
