Just bumping this up hoping for someone who's sprayed just the bottem of their bed to answer.
I was planning on 2 good coats of epoxy on the entire bed underside.
Now I'm thinking maybe just using chassis saver but don't want to spray that material and REALLY don't want to brush all that

Is the bed off the truck? It would be easier and you would get better results. When you say epoxy do you mean primer? How is the surface going to be prepped. Chassis saver is better on blasted metal. If I were going to buy paint I would but 2 quarts of what I was going to use. That 2 quarts would get you 2 nice coats. If you spray paint or chassis saver you would want to protect yourself the same. I would get a tyvek suit some rubber gloves and a charcoal respirator. If the bed is on the truck I would brush it on or but some quality spray cans of undercoating.

Bed is off the truck. It's southern bed and will be prepped for any painting system.
Was thinking of using an epoxy primer
Was wanting to spray it for ease and speed.
I think brushing it all would take forever

Hit it with Rustoleum black. It $25 for a gallon. If you're going to spray just thin it a little.

I,m thinking of just chassis saver the supports and inside wheel wells. The actual underside of the floor is spotless
I will snap a pic and post it.
Just want to save this southern bed from my nasty canadian winters.
