78 chevrolet linkage issue after lowering tranfer case

alright.. i lowered my t-case an inch so the front d-shaft would hook up ... after doing so my drive and reverse and park linkage will not engage it just makes a small grinding sound... any ideas welcome?

Installed 6 inch suspension thats why im having to lower t-case..

Loosen the jamb bolt on your shift linkage. Put the trans in park, and the shifter in park. Tighten it, from there you might need to tweak it a bit, but this gives you a start point!
