Sounds like you have a blown bulb somewhere or a bad ground.

Does it do it with the running lights on or off or both. What about which turn signal you use left or right what about if you use the brakes . But like capt said sounds like a bad ground or bulb

i have a 78 k10 also, it has a newer steering column too, the one with the blinker that also does the wipers and stuff but thats all disconnected so it just handles turn signals now, anyways i had kinda the same problem, i just swiched out the relays for new ones (both hazerd and turn signals) and took out the gauges and cleaned all the leads and everthing then finally looked at the wires and they were a total hack job so i redid the connetions and now everything works great! all in all it was like 10 bucks and maybe an hour tops. maybe that will help... not a bad idea anyways. do they work outside?

ha ha yeah id just go through the wiring then, i know on mine the signals are the purple wire and hazerds are yellow, dont know if yours is the same, but maybe yours got crosed or something. there is a wiring diagram on this site in the technical pages, should be able to figure out whats what with alittle investigating.

Find a donor harness or buy a parts truck with the same options your truck has. Check all of your circuits too because there's usually a good reason why wiring burns up.
