Drop down work Light........
« on: April 25, 2010, 10:15:37 pm »
I looked in the forums but I didnt see anything about a work light
that would drop down from the underside of the rear bumper.....
Has anyone tried this?   My el cheapo fixed light tried to head butt
a rock.   Not that the driver was at fault or anything  :-\

I know on the 90s chevys they have a work light on a cord that can be reeled back up maybe if you go to a bone yard take one of those and mount that on the frame / bumper that might help you out but the cord I think was only 3' long from what I remember

i never extend mine out under the hood on my '91 sub.  I don't know how long it is, but, I simply slide the switch on and it lights under my hood quite a bit.
Go to a salvage yard and yank a few off those trucks.  If the line isn't long enough, run a hot wire (fused) from the battery to where ever you decide to mount the light.
