Anybody use this tranny before?
« on: May 02, 2010, 09:09:36 pm »
Has anybody ever used this tranny in a 4wd? Or should I drop another $300 and go for one of the TCI tranny's....

Never but they aren't telling you much about the upgrades there.

You might want to look at Monster transmissions. I have never used them but they seem pretty beefy. They have 700r4 that are rated up to 650 HP for $1449.00. Or 500HP for $1249.00.

I'll check out Monster, treestand, as for TCI, I've heard alot of good things from them, and if you're having problems and got it from Summit, they always stand behind what they sell...never had a problem and always had great customer service from Summit...

I have always heard good things about TCI also but the trans I have must be a lemon or something.  It is now broken for the second time.  I got it from summit and when it broke the first time they said I would have to contact TCI and I did and they said that the warranty was fresh out so I was stuck with it :( I am not saying that you wont get a good tranny from TCI, I am just stating that mine wasn't.

I might recommend gearstar. I saw a 900 horse Nova with one, the Guy was saying it was worth every penny, they build for what you need.
