hood dimensions

could some of you please measure the width of you hoods. i have just converted from my 82 front to a 89 jimmy front. and i seam to have at large gap at the front of the hood and fenders. about 3/8 to 1/2. any help would be heplful

did you use any shims, how does the bottom of the fender match up to the door

no shims. and the gap at the fender and door is good. my father thinks its the wrong hood but i told him all hood 81-87 plus crew cab and burbs/blazers are the same. it just seems like the core support is too wide we measured it before we installed it.

They are all the same 81 up so you just need to make some adjustments

Yeah my gaps got all wonky (well, wonkier) after I did my front end swap too. Just gotta spend a bunch of time tweaking and adjusting. Tedious but achievable apparently.
85 Chevy Silverado C10 short, wide, yellow, 2wd. Lowered, 60-over 350 with Dart Iron Eagle heads and Comp Cams XE268 cam, TH350 w/ shift kit, 3.40 Gov-lok 12 bolt.
