install interior hood release, on a 73?

anyone put an interior hood release on an older truck that just has the external lever?  Like a junkyard pull of the parts from a later year on a 73.. total replacement of hood latch I would think and pull cord?

They were an option so a J/Y or restoration parts supplier would be your best bet.
