the dash is covered with black tweed, when I switched my old 81 over to power window and locks I found a guy on craigslist with both doors with all power, the wiring harness, the door panels and the dash pad already covered for $100 for everything. I had all the trim covered in tweed as well but did not like the way they fit together ( looked cheap and didnt fit right )

It was one of my Dads trucks just sitting out back of the shop going to waste so I had him send it to me. Hardly no major rust justa cab corner and the motor is a High Output crate 350 with only 15,000 miles on it, motor was put in mid 2006 drove for 15,000 miles than parked.

Great find! Glad you got her, looks great. I have '84 GMC/Silverado modified with C10 '83-'84 Silverado duel headlights black grille and bezels with gold Bowtie emblem that's the same as yours, very interesting.

I'm not interesting factory GMC grille with gray bars, looks ugly through.  ;D

Also, I removed sagged headliner and shaved all int. moldings off, shaved factory welded spots and lines stamped. Looks much better, almost finish job!  ;D

Well I decided to lower it a little for now, still want to go about another inch or so. Might have a 383 coming to drop in it with a TH400 and a ford 9" rear. I shaved off the drip rails, filled emblem and trim holes and going to shave the stake pockets. The going is slow due to money right now, hopefully I will be able to get more done soon

man looks good, like the stance, I think it could go lower. Looks completely different then when you first started. Motor looks a ton cleaner and better now.

On the door panels what's up on the bottom is it the pic or was the panel broke or soemthing two big lumps in it on bottom. rest looks perfect. Like the dash turned out great, how'd you do it you say? foam and cloth? how was it attached spray glue only? staples? That'd be something I'd look into since it's cheap and the expensive accuform cap cracked on me.

Yea its going to go a little lower 1 or 2 inches, I am going for a pro-street look. Plans are for a 383 stroker, TH400, ford 9" narrowed and semi-tub. The dash and doors panels I bought with a set of doors with electric locks and windows and harness for $125. From the desert heat out here the bottom of the door panels have bowed a little, it looks worse in the pic, the dash is wrapped in tweed, and the door panels were smoothed out with MDF and fiberglass then wrapped in tweed. More work to come soon, I am going to back home to Maryland for almost and month, my Dad has a resto shop full of parts so hopefully I can find some good stuff laying around, he has a 383 stroker in the shop just have to get the money to ship it out.

Nice Project, I have a LWB 82 I'm tinkering with. You said you "lowered it a bit for now". How much on front and back, and what did you use?
