where to order a th400

I'm looking at ordering a th400 for my truck, swapping out my th350 and np203 for a th400 and np205, I have a tcase just need a tranny, its way to expensive to get one built in town so I might as well order a pre built one, I need something thats tough and can handle abuse hah, I was looking on summit not sure tho, never really looked around for a tranny before, anyways let me know on your thoughts guys thanks.

How much is too much, keep in mind ordering online is going to be at least $150 to truck freight it.

I'm in thunder bay ontario, about half an hour from the minnesota border so shipping in the states dont matter much, i always order my stuff from there anyways, save alot more money. my limits about 2 grand i guess, i found one from monster transmissions with free shipping also i need to know what else i needa to convert my truck from a th350 to a th400.

I'll be watching for the answers as I've wondered about these same things. I want to upgrade from my th350 to a th400 at some point, as well!

Drive shaft needs to be shortened and the input shaft is different.  The TH400 uses an electric kickdown also.

how much power you planing on pushing?

mild th400 run 1200-1300 convertors are interchangeable.

i had looked for used ones, but coudlnt find any in town, not for a decent pice anyways or in decent shape. the drive shafts i knew about i have driveshafts that came off a th400 truck, i was gonna change my cam also, have no idea whats in the truck now, soo might as well just order a new one to match my converter.any ideas on cams? where i can find them or what are good?
