Wheel Emergency!  Where can I get Lug Nuts for my Slotted Mag?

Not a super duper emergency but it is for me... I can't find lug nuts for my slotted mags, these ones...

http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=17252.0

Thread is 9/16 and the shank needs to be about 3/4 to an 1" long?

Anyone have any they want to sell or know of a place I can buy them?  I need 32

Thanks!

I bought some aftermarket lugs from the parts store when I need the different ones for my new wheels. They were pretty reasonable. If I was you though and needed 32 then I'd def do some callin around.

Try www.ezaccessory.com, they had the special lug nuts I needed to put 2003 Chevy rims on my 86 K30.

Forget it - NON existant - not worth the hassle

Just ship the wheels to me and I'll remove your headache.

Seriously though, NICE looking wheels.  I'm shopping and hunting for a set of slots myself.

Don't you just hate these worthlesss post. ;D

Looking forward to seeing your pictures with these installed.

Mike,
Before you buy lug nuts keep in mind that different wheel manufactures use different style lug nuts. I always refer to these rims as American Racing Slots because they made the set I bought new but a few different companies did make these rims.
I have mcgard (SP)  shank style lugs on my stepside while my K30 uses the acorn style.
Make sure you bring a rim with you to the tire store/speed shop.
I will try to get some pics tonight if you need them.

Pic #1 Acorn style lug on rim (like the factory rims use)
#2 Shank style lug on rim
     #3 Shank lug
#4 Shank shown going into rim
Just trying to make sure you know which ones to get.

Wow!  Thanks for going above and beyond the call of duly fitz...

I need the Shank style.  My local wheel and tire guys, (Owner and brother are both "Car Guys"), found some and ordered them for me but when we went to install the wheels the Shank Lug Nut is the right thread size which is 9/16", but it was to wide in the diameter and would not fit inside the holes in the wheels.

I have a set of Shank Lug Nuts that fit through the hole but the are 1/2" thread.

So I'll measure the wheel hole size and contact one or both of the above and get the right size hopefully today.

Cool.

Yeah okay... they're boxed up and on their way... I polished them a second time as a sign of my appreciation for your willingness to take them off my hand...

LOL

You'd think...

Actually I went to Autozone, NAPA and some other mainstream store, can't think of their name and none of them had anything in stock an pretty much didn't want to go any further to help me.

Just a note to anyone reading this that has a set of aluminum slotted mags like you see in the picture above, I'm still looking for either a set of 2 or 4 that are "high quality".  These mags I'm installing are probably the worst quality mags I've ever owned and seen but... they are slotted mags so they're going on...

Thank everyone...

The town fair near me has a sign that states that they will not sell lug nuts for rims not purchased there.
Have you tried Jegs or Summit?

Oreilly had the long shank lugnuts I needed for my SS wheels on my S10, but I had to try a few sets.  We ended up with some "ricer" looking ones that fit in the holes better.  I believe they will ship them if you buy online.  A guy here bought his from them for his mags on a Camaro.
I bought my long shank lugnuts for my Weld wheels from Jegs though.

They have a sign that says they won't sell lug nuts? What is the purpose behind that? Is that an admission of the inability to determine what lug nut belongs on a wheel? Or are they too stupid to know how to determine diameter and thread pitch? Right then and there I would walk in the door there and ask them why a tire and wheel shop would have such a disclaimer. As far as my suggestionfor using an auto parts store, keyword "decent" I know we live in a society of morons but I guess it may be in your best interest if you are getting dead ended by stupidity to just make a few measurements yourself on your particular wheels and order them from a catalog.

***Update***

Finally obtained some Lug Nuts and had my tires switched over to the slotted mags... Here's a few pictures...

Now these are wheels boys...

I'm still looking for 2 more high quality slotted mags to give me a second set for my next set of tires...
