Vile, I can't even begin to imagine living far north up the  East Coast and have a hurricane blow in on your wedding day! Incredible! I'm sure that was the absolute, farthest thing from anyone's mind when they started palnning. I hope it all goes smoothly.
I wonder if Sgt Del is getting anything yet?

I'm glad Earl spent an extra day to get here, they were saying thursday, but it's here now.  I spent last night in margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett concert last night in northern virginia---awesome time--my 16th concert watching him over the years. 64 years old and still puttin on a show.

So, it's spinning off the coast now...here in Richmond's west end, just cloud cover, 20 miles east..rain, r ain, rain all the way to Williamsburg, Jamestown, and chesapeake bay and va. beach, norfolk.

Our river house dock, near the bay, is under well under water.  we had to raise the boat lift up an extra foot or two before the storm surge...all that water from the bay is being  pushed west into the river that supposed to feed the bay. www.delbridge.net/rivah10.html

going back to the river next weekend to check on the house.

we barely got a continuous rain I was talking to my mom she’s closer to the shore than I am and was like when’s earl supposed to hit she said its been here and gone I was stunned but at the same time happy so I came out of my makeshift hurricane shelter

People are morons! I went to the grocery store yesterday because we were having a coockout at my house. The place was mobbed with morons stocking up when it was already gone and never even hit us to begin with. All we got was a little rain.

Sounds like down here when they are calling for flurries....everyone rushes to the grocery store to stock up on 6 weeks of food just in case.  Even when we had 3 storms this past winter of a foot or more of snow, we could still get out within one day and go to the stores if needed.

Morons is a good description.

Thats how we do it down here too. We watch a hurricane coming for close to a week and two before days it makes landfall everybody goes hog wild and buys everything in the stores!

the problem if you don’t go stock up on things is that when you do need them and you are able to get out and buy something the store has to have power and even if they do you wont be able to get milk eggs or tp due to everyone else stocking up
