1974 C10 Grille replacement
« on: September 30, 2010, 06:24:15 am »
Hi All,

I am from South Africa and recently purchased a 1975 Chevy C10, (But it's a 1974 model in US terms). I want to exchange the 1974 Grille to a 1977 -1978 Grille , it that possible ? The C10 I have still have the bonnet latch on the outside , not inside , please give some advise. Also I want to change the 1974 Headlight bezels to the later 1979 bezels which includes the indicators, is that possible as well ?

Can you give please give advise regarding this.

Thanks

Why would you want to do that? The 74 Grille and bezels are the best.

1973-1974 models are unique, they pieces on them or lack of are only available for that particular year.

To switch, you will need the supports removed from the 73-74 and weld on the 75-78 pieces.

Just guessing it's because you can buy a new 77-80 grill. I like the 73-4 style the best, too.
