Power steering hose fittings leaks.

This has been a frustrating problem.
The power steering hoses were really dry rotted on my barn find truck(1975 c-10). So I thought I'd  replace the power steering pump,hoses in one job.
My problem is the the flare ends on the high pressure hose leaks at both the reservoir side and the steering box side. It's a normal compressing fitting that doesn't require O rings. I've tightened the aluminum hex fittings as much as I dare. I tried to bleeding the line at the box end thinking that maybe air was being trapped and I was building to much pressure for the fittings to keep their seal.
Any suggestions on what is causing my problem.

There should be an o-ring on the end of the fitting. Make sure the old one came out when you removed the old hose and make sure the new ones are on the line fitting when you put it back in.

To bleed the air out of the system you need to crank the wheel lock to lock a few times.

Vile I forget what year but my 79 has one style and my 86 has another one is flare and the other is o ring. Ypy sure the fittings are tight

Thanks for the help guys but, so far nothing that I haven't tried.
It's a flare fitting so it doesn't have a O ring, I turned it from stop to stop while having the fitting cracked open at the gear box.
I even redid the lines fittings thinking that maybe I'd gotten the flares off centered while tightening then down.
I don't want to tighten any more because the aluminum fittings are about to round off.
I'm a pretty good shade tree mechanic but, this one has me stumped.

you dont have a flare nut wrench. when i redid mine in my 79 i didnt have to bleed it just hooked everything up and filled up the pump all was good.

Shouldn't have to bleed it. The air will come out in the reservoir. Sounds to me like the flare might be boogered up?

What year is it? Make sure you have the right fittings and use a flare nut wrench or crows foot or you will round it off.

Where did you get your new hoses from and what year application?  There are 2 styles, flare and metric o-ring.  It sounds like you are trying to put metric o-ring hoses on a Flare box, which will never seal.

When I replaced mine on my 1984 C- 10, the hoses had O- Rings on them.
