i have a sbc with vortec heads and a comp mutha thumpr cam. the same build was in the may and june 2009 issues of Hot Rod Magazine. in the article the engine made 403 hp and 428 lb-ft. it costed around 3000 bucks. if u want to do a build like this just ask a question and i'll help out.

Mines a mexico 350 4bolt block bored 040 it had 26cc dish speedpro pistons so I put on a set of 416 305 heads milled 025 550lift springs summit 1103 cam performer rpm intake 600 carb. The same head/cam combo on a 305 pushed my 82ta into the mid 8s In the 1/8th. Just a fun motor for my hauler/dd 4x4.

sb 400 from a k-30 with and edelbrock 2103 cam, nascar rpm air gap, hooker super comps, and a msd system. Has a complementary rod knock and blown head gasket; free of charge ;)

All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.

Well I've kinda got several because 1. dont know what I'm doing and 2. I just wanna smoke some tires and embarrass anybody I can with my little sleeper!!! Can you believe they make fun of my 85 shortbed??? I take that personal!!! LOL

358 purchased turnkey locally with edelbrock top end, thumpr cam, shorty headers, and chrome dress up.
350 block, comp cams mutha thumpr, cyclone intake, edelbrock carb, still in the works
AND what I'm going to post next, questions on a stock LQ4. Heard they are the same as LS engines got a killer deal couldn't pass it up. Has harness minus alternator, starter, ac comp, and ps pump.

250 cid Inline 6, need I say more? 0-60 in about a 2 minutes (downhill). The six actually has some cool points; however, going fast isn't one of them.
going to be a 350 with vortech heads and the usual add ons and hopefully a serpentine belt set up.
still in the planning stages-so taking any and all recomendations.
it needs to be somewhat budget friendly and just a fun driver.

hey chevyguy74 what carb are you running and what kind of mpg's ?
