I had Hoosier qucktimes in 325/50R15's and they were almost an inch wider than the same size BFG drag radials.

Did you run tubes with those Hoosiers?  Summit says their required.

You can get away with the 315/60 15 or the 325/50 15, both are 11" wide tread. Mickey Thompson doesn't reccomend it, but I ran the 325/50's on an 8" wheel for a couple years. They looked a bit "balloony", but wore ok. Lorne

Hey I'm thinking about getting some Hoosier 325/50/R15's but they say they need tubes?  Since I'll be running on the street and I won't really be hot rodding it, could'nt I mount them without the tubes?

might need the tubes because the tires are more porous than other tires? not a tire expert.

if they suggest tubes and you plan on NOT having to air the tires up every day you drive it then buy tubes. my old ET Streets would bleed air thru the sidewalls. one was worse than the other. think 15-20 ponds PER DAY!!! funny, after i bought a smaller set with tubes they never lost a pound again .
moral of the story, buy tubes and call it done or buy radials.

These are 29x12.5 R15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro's.  They have about 3/8" clearance each side.  Perfect!

Im not running tubes in my 315/60/15 Hoosier D/R on my turbo stang and they never leak down...
