My 75 blazer and its rust

I've had my 75 for about a year. when i bought it, i knew next to nothing about it but i got a fairly good deal on it. I bought it for $1300 and have put about $2000 into it ($1100 on my tires).  When I discovered the rust on my truck i decided i wasn't going to do anything about it because i got a DISCOUNTED quote of $9000 for all the body work. I've been thinking about putting money into it piece by piece but i want to know if its worth it to put money into it.  Will I get any profit when i sell it?  It's got rust on the passenger floorboard, right rear wheel well, right column next to windshield, that place where the door weatherstripping attaches to the floor on both driver and passenger sides, along the bed where the shell rests on, and on the metal piece under the passenger door. Tell me what you think i should do about this.

The full vert blazers can fetch up to 15k fully restored. If you're handy with a grinder and welder its a worthwhile project

I had a 75 Blazer and it was mint but I had to sell it because of my divorce. I picked another one http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=11379.0 up and plan to restore it but I have so many others going on it has no priority. Nevertheless it has the rear pan rot and floors along with some along the fire wall. I cut the fiewall out of another cab for patch panels. The rear floor support and sections can easily be cut out and welded back in. If you aren't into the truck and plan on selling it and you're not equipped to do the work just sell it now. If you love the truck and want to keep it get the grinder and the welder out. Chris sells the repair patch panels here and they're good quality.

Sounds like a good deal on a work/hunt/play truck.  Not worth fixing up into a show truck or anything though....vehicles like this don't make a profit after dumping thousands into them.  You want to make a profit then find a rarer car and keep it completely stock.  Ever watched Barret Jackson auctions or w/e its called...how many "show trucks" do they sell?

Fixing it up for your own pleasure though is another story

With out pics its hard to say
One thing I do know with very minimal welding skills and this site and store you can knock 7 or 8 grand off that total (depending on the pics )

The rust doesn't look that bad, only one spot has actually rusted right through, and the spots don't look all that big with some general welding knowledge it looks like it could be fixed up fairly reasonably

That's not too bad, get the welder and grinder out and do work. Capt should have any patch panels you may need
