« on: October 31, 2010, 08:03:50 pm »
Ran it up to 6200 in first, then shifted to second gear
boom went the tranny
now no forward/reverse
Pulled it out Saturday,
Any guesses as to what blew?
Gonna drop it off at the shop this week
I'm guessing the pump

Why 6k in first. Autos (on the phone lol) can't handle all that pressure

 ???

Before you pulled the trans you should have done a pressure test. It is quite possible the pump gear broke. What converter is in there? Make sure it's concentric and the flex plate is strong enough to handle it.
