Child seat install
« on: November 01, 2010, 11:32:22 pm »
I would like to install a child seat in my 87 regular cab.  I cannot get the passenger seatbelt to lock so I can tighten it in.  I have the instructions that say to pull the belt all the way out and then lock it in.  It is not doing that.  It is the three point belt that pulls out on both the lap and shoulder parts.

Any tips on how to install this?  I would use the center lap belt for a pinch, but this truck doesn't have one.

Why doesn't it have a center belt? Are you sure it isn't tucked under the seat?

Removing the center seatbelt was one of many things that should have never been done to this truck.  I've got a bit of a road ahead, but it is looking good.  There is not a lick of rust on the truck, not even on the factory exhaust.  The rest is just details, and wiring, its going to need lots of wiring.

Looks like I need to order some new belts.  The universal type that only retract from the shoulder portion should retro fit into these I would imagine.
