Stubborn Manifold Bolts

These two manifold bolts are at such a funny angle in relationship to the intake opening that I can't get any sockets in there to turn them.  Am I missing something?  The bolt between the EGR valve and runner is so tight, I can't even get a box wrench in there.  I bought EZ-Outs, but the drill is at the same whack angle so that I can't even drill into the bolt squarely.  Is a simple breaker bar with a pivot what I need?

swivel or universal joint adapter

these come in handy, but not sure if they'll work for this situation.

Those are pretty cool!  I'll look around the parts store for a swivel or universal that might clear, if not--I might give those Proforms a try!  Thanks!

I just use an open end wrench.

 I can't even get my Craftsman box wrench in the gap between the EGR and the runner.  I can get a box wrench on the other one, but I can't turn it.

For the one you can get to with a box end wrench you could find some suitable cheater bar to slip over the wrench.  Remember: lefty loosey, righty tighty.

Get a junk wrench and grind the box end down until it will fit

Got it!  I went to Sears and got the 1/2" short swivel for $8.99 and a $3.99 3/8" extension and it was off five minutes later!  Thanks for all your excellent suggestions!

1/4" drive swivel sockets and an offset wrench usually does it. Cleaning away all the crud helps too.
