Maintanance Concerns

Okay, I have a two part question... I just made the switch to Royal Purple and I was wondering if I can go 6,000 miles without an issue. I want to keep at 3 or 6 to match up with my trans flush thats due in 9,000 miles. My sierras only down 1/2 a qt at 3000, so at 6 I'll just have to throw a qt in.
Part 2: I just got a Corvette servo, and I'm doing it when I flush my trans. I did a search and was wondering if any one has a writeup on it or any tips. I'd like to do a writeup if nobody else has. Thanks in advance

All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.

Synthetics can last for up to 10,000 miles, I would change it around 7-8k.

Yeah I think you'd be fine, I wouldn't worry about another 1000 miles. Royal purple is really good stuff too for a lil peace of mind.

I do everything on my truck at 5k intervals. But I have conventional oil. I do the 5k thing because it's easiest to keep up with lacking a trip odometer and an oil change sticker.
25k
30k
35k
40k
etc...

Layne, I found an awesome how-to on a corvette servo install a while back with pictures. I'll find it again tomorrow and post it up.
I agree with the 5k interval as well, but I also use conventional oil...

I forgot to mention that its
all
town driving, hot rodding and hauling heavy loads. I knew I forgot to add something. I was reading a few of those vette servo writ-ups, and it looks pretty easy, so I'm confident I can do it. I thought maybe we could add it in the tech pages when i get around to it.
