1984 Chevrolet K30

I purchased this truck a couple years ago. Some of my plans are to build a flatbed for it and to convert it to a single fuel tank. It has a 454 with a 4 speed manual. Let me know what you think.

I like the MM plow set up. The blazer/Suburban gas tank swap is well documented on this forum.

The truck is in really good shape. The guy that I bought it off of said that the frame was painted factory. I don't know if that was an option in '84 or if he was just pulling my leg, but the frame doesn't really have any rust and it does appear to have some sort of coating applied to it. There is a sticker in the door jamb that has a picture of a read headed guy and it says Rusty's and then something else. I think it was one of the original rust preventative liner companies. Also, the plow setup on this truck would dig to China if you weren't paying attention!

Rusty Jones... like Ziebart but it was a dealer offered rustproofing

Yah, I definitely don't have a torque issue. Most of the time it comes down to not having enough traction to keep up with all the power.

I do a small amount of farm work and I think a flat bed would be much easier to load things on and off of. And then I can also haul equipment on a flatbed.

Anyone have an idea on what this truck might be worth. It is an '84 K30 with a 454, 4speed manual with around 82000 miles. I bought it with a 7 1/2 foot Fisher minute mount plow that was in pretty good shape that also has the snow curl on top. It is pretty bare bones inside. No a/c or power windows or door locks. The engine had been rebuilt and some small rust spots repaired and the body painted with a full bed removal done for the paint job. It also has the lights across the tailgate which I was told was a factory option at the time. The guy also told me that the bumper is a factory install which I might not believe. The picture is what it looked like before the body work and paint job. Thanks.

I noticed the for sale sign in a few of the pictures. How much are you looking for?.
As far as the tailgate lights and the rear bumper, I would say that they are not factory.
Why did the motor need a rebuild before it had 82K on it?

Can the odometer roll over and actually read 182000 miles. I'm not looking at selling, just was wondering if I paid too much?
