Nerf Bar install assistance request - with pictures

Picked up some brand new, never installed DeeZee # DZ370103 Nerf Bars for the old 74 truck from a private seller. This DeeZee part number is the only one that does not have the note "Does Not Fit Vehicles w/Gas Tank On Outside Of Frame". So I'm hoping these work.
Went to try and install and nothing seems to line up and make sense. Fully expect to have to drill some holes, but not confident yet.
Rear brackets appear to somewhat line up to the side of the rear hanger, front somewhere against the frame.
Anyone have any pictures or advice.
Front and rear pictures attached.
Thanks,
MJ

Those nerf bars look like they are for a quad cab, it really looks like you are going to have to make up brackets for the front mounts.

According to DeeZee's website, you should have part #DZ37010 And in their instructions on the PDF file, It says to center the bracket on the frame rail under your cab mount, and under your rear spring hanger.

I went and looked again, and your part number comes up correct. They are kind of skimpy on the details though. The little picture they have shows the spring hanger to the left of the bracket on the drivers side, kind of odd though since, the leaf spring would come out to the right and interfear with the bracket.

The front goes right under the cab mount and the rear should have a mounting plate that has to bolt on to the back of the rear spring hanger. Get the front set and you should see how the rear attaches.

If the front goes under the cab mount, that might make more sense. This would also place the step in better position to the door. Not sure how the bracket will miss this the rear spring, but your correct, it might become obvious. Kind of hard to hold in place by myself and trying not to scratch it.
I've got the PDF instructions, but they are rather generic.
Maybe (hopefully) I'll have better luck tomorrow.
Thanks all.

Well thanks to you all, I got it figured out and drivers side installed. Drilling the holes was not fun with tight spaces and funny angles (no hoist/lift). Passenger side will have to wait for another day as this side took awhile.
Doesn't have the awww factor as I hoped, but maybe I'm tired and need a nap. MUCH better then the running boards.
Thanks all.

They look good. Too bad they dont have a pad for the bed. I know many companies offer bars that extend to the bed for newer trucks. Some skateboard tape would do the trick if you were interested.

Got the passenger side mounted this morning. Bracket pictures attached.
Few notes:
I may have mounted slight different/higher then brackets were intended for, but I wanted them tucked up as high as possible. I will have to see how they look while flexing the body/frame off road. This will mostly be a street/logging road truck.
The front bracket only has the two lower bolts in at this time, as I'm not sure yet how to drill for the top holes. Going to have to get a small body drill and drill from inside the frame. 2 is ok and useable right now.
I shifted the bracket only using 3 of the original mounts (bar-to-bracket). If I use all 4, tube of the bar hits the spring bolt and/or would have to lower the bar quite far. Will also add a 3rd bolt to the bracket/spring hanger for added strength.
When I replace the body bushings, the bar will have to come off. While off I'll get longer bolts and add a washer or small plate to space it outward slightly. Currently the front is ever-so-slightly inward then the rear, and it will bug me if not parallel with the body line. I'm picky.
These bars are NOT rock sliders, that's for sure. Since I have kids and the truck will get used, adding some skateboard tape is a GREAT idea.
Looking forward to weather warming up for a full detail of truck and hopefully FINALLY get my slots put on. Chrome hood nose protector also coming soon.

74K20 where did you find one of these? My truck had one but it got damaged and I want to put another one on.

Sorry not much help to you. I got them off Craigslist brand new in box, from a private seller that never installed them.
