love em! but i also enjoy the sound of straight pipes with glass packs

my 79 sierra has two 45s to get over the tranny crossmember glass packs 9 inches of 2.5 pipe and 90s pointing down and out towards the side of the truck is tucked up nice and tight so all you see is about 2 inches of the tips  ;D

not a fan of straight pipes on the street but the track yeah. for the street i prefer a nice rumble through flowmaster 40s or magnaflows.

the less back pressure you have you lose some tq. i cut the cat off my 86 but left the muffler i could feel the loss on take off

I had an exhaust bent on my 79 Firebird that had free flowing aftermarket cats and no mufflers. It was bent all the way out the back so it was quiet inside the car but sounded kinda like a boat when driving behind it. It was just a daily driver and not a power house so I didn't loose anything thru them. I can't stand the exhaust smell of a non cat d.d.
