35/12.5/50R/16's?
« on: January 06, 2011, 08:48:11 pm »
Just curious what would it take to put these size tires under my 84 3/4 ton chevy pu? Do I need to do a suspension lift, body lift, or a combination of both, and how many inches? Please post up some pics if you have them.

Thanks,
Mike

the truck I used to have, I had 36s on it and it had a 3in body lift and I had to cut the corners of the fenders off and depending on your states laws you might need flares because my 36 12.50s stuck out about 3 inches but a 4 inch suspension lift will clear no problem

only 4 inchs really? I would have guessed 6 inchs myself. I have a 4 inch lift on my Suburban and 35's look like a really tight fit.

Or they're Interco tires, they give SAE measurements for their 16" tires.
There are two tools needed, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD 40.

Most 6" suspension lifts state 37" tires max, and 4" lifts state 35" tall tires.  Though it really depends on how you are going to drive it.

It depends on the type of tire and rims dimensions as well, my truck has 35x12.50x16 nitto mud grapplers with 16x12 classic locks on it with a 6" lift, but if I went with the same size tires in say a yoko geolander style tire and 16x8 rims I could clear with a 4" lift.

35/12.50/15 on Chevy rallys.4"susp and 2"body lift.I think you could get away with a 4" and stock offset wheel.
