sb heads?

have a 77 k20 with 400sb. can i run 350 heads?

I believe they would need to be drilled for the steam holes the 400 has....

really not an upgrade unless you are planning on vortecs or aftermarket head

You have to drill the heads for the steam holes for it to work.  What are you hoping to accomplish?

my brothers plow truck.running ruff . guy he knows has friend who had a new set of 350 heads off crate engine and after doing a compression check decided to replace heads with the 350 heads.then he calls and tells him he found out the heads had to be drilled.he didn't know what to do and is just trying to get this truck to last for 2 more months.so he ask me what i thought and i have no idea. that's is why i ask.

Pull the heads and have them redone maybe??? Then you don't have to purchase and modify.

its already back together and he has been driving it for a couple days no heating problems yet.plowed with it today for 6 hrs.

i'm running 350 heads on my 406.just used the head gasket as a pattern for the steam holes.
its been together for 5 years with no problems.
