1984 Chevy Transfer Case Torque Specifications
« on: February 20, 2011, 01:29:18 pm »
Hey guys, I've been looking around and can't find any specifications on how tight to tighten my fill and drain plugs on my np 208 transfer case. I've got a Chilton's manual but I can't find any info about that in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never seen torque spec's on them.  I just tighten them until at least 3 full threads are in and until they feel tight and check for leaks.  Never had one leak before.

18 lb-ft on the fill and drain plug. 30mm socket.
