Common crank window problems
« on: February 23, 2011, 03:34:28 pm »
So my 87's passenger side window will not go down at all. I took the door panel off and looked inside and cant see anything irregular and the teeth all are lined up. I also cant grab the window and move it up and down as if it was off the track. Is there a common problem like this or am I going to have to remove the window and crank to find a problem?

You can't get the crank to move or it spins and the window doesn't move?

My driver side did that till I replaced the regulator now it still has a hard time almost like its binding up I keep breaking the knob of the handle. There's three wheels on the regulator that slide in channels one the door spray them also

If soaking everything with penetrating oil solves it, cool.  I would put grease on all of the moving parts afterward if it works, though.  WD40 won't keep it moving smooth for long.

My passenger side is really hard rolling down. Everything is greased good.
