Where can I get a door hinge spring for my '80? (the ones that look like an "S")Do you sell them Capt? Would it be worth my time to get a pull-a-part one...or would it soon breal too?

The help section at the local parts store should have them seperate.  I don't have them seperate that I remember.

So far the local stores havent been able to help. GM dealer says no longer available. I have seen a couple of aftermarket ones, but as usual, the shipping kills you. Maybe a junkyard part? Just afraid it wouldn't hold up.

Those springs don't fail that often.  Don't be afraid of a junkyard spring.  Shipping kills you on a part that small?

kills might be an exaggeration, but it was more than the part cost!

How about a new hinge? They're pretty cheap or try the classifieds here for a good used one.
