I got a free upgraded cam with my rebuild kit. Heres the specs:
204/214 dur at .050" // 278/288 adv. dur // 420/443 lift // 112 lobe separation - power range idle-4500rpm
What kind of performance gain can I expect from it?

What kind of compression ratio will your rebuild give you? What about your rear end ratio, cylinder heads? end displacement?
This looks like the cam:

My overlap calc shows something like 59 degrees of overlap, which seems like quite a bit.
Whether that'll be good for your app or not, will depend on your other specs.

That could be it! It came in a generic white box with a spec sheet.
I'm not sure on the compression ratio. Its a stock rear end for now but will end up with a Dana 44 3:07? (85 vette rear). The block will be a stock 350, flat top pistons with the cam until I get enough for another set of vortec heads.
It was just a freebie so I didn't know if it's going to be a big notice over stock.

Very little...I really feel that is too small for any 350 that the word "performance" is used in the sentence. Lorne

That's a very mild cam essentially one small step over stock lift. The stock cam lift was .390" Intake and .410" Exhaust

Eh, it was free since they didn't have a stock cam available. Wasn't looking for a performance build this time around as my last. The inventory sheet states "Torquer cam, smooth idle and stump pulling power! Low to mid range power gains!" I doubted it from the start so I decided to get the pros opinions. I know better than to believe performance comes free.

The price was right for sure.Ussually the pick-up likes the 214/224 version of that brand, but the 204/214 works well.Gives good torque and good fuel mileage.Better than the stock cam.And again, can't beat the price.
