Radiator Mounts
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:03:15 am »
How is the radiator supposed to be mounted?  Mine is sitting on wood blocks, and I know that is wrong.  Are there special rubber mounts that I can buy?  Thanks.

Yes, there are 2 rubber mounts that go on the radiator support that it sets in.

Anyone know who sells these?  I called around and no one seems to be able to get them.  Even the dealer can't get them anymore.

If not available on this site, then some of the more major parts vendors out there will have them. No mentioning any names quite yet. But they are not that hard to find if you really start looking. There are also the saddles they sit in on the bottom. If the rad. is sitting on wooden blocks, you might make sure the saddles that hold the rubbers are still there. Now those, I've never seen sold through a vendor. Most likely a junkyard trip is in order.
There are two tools needed, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD 40.
